The member of the House of Representatives, representing Calabar Municipality/Odukpani federal constituency, Hon Bassey Akiba, on Saturday joined top political leaders, stakeholders and other Cross Riverians to endorse President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Otu for second term.

Rep Akiba, who was on ground at the mega endorsement rally held in Ikom township stadium, Ikom Local Government Area, LGA, noted in his remarks that the duo of Tinubu and Otu deserve to be re-elected in 2027 on account of their visible achievements, people-centred policies and unalloyed commitment to the economic growth and development at the national and state levels respectively.

The deputy chairman, House Committee on Healthcare Services, who has since been equally endorsed by different groups and individuals for second term in the green chamber of the National Assembly stressed the need for continuity to pave the way for greater impact in governance.

Noting that the progress already made must not be disrupted, the federal parliamentarian maintained that sustained infrastructure development, economic reforms, youth empowerment programmes and improved governance under Tinubu and Otu prove that continuity will deliver greater benefits to the people.

Rep. Akiba rallied his political network – including the BB Guys and BB Babes – along with his constituents to unite and mobilize for the re-election of President Tinubu, Governor Otu, and himself.

He emphasized that securing a second term is crucial for ensuring stability, accelerating development and providing sustained empowerment and opportunities for youths across the communities.

He stated that a vote for continuity implied a secured, brighter and more prosperous future for all.
