Return Home, Dan Obo Jr. Tells Austine Ibok

Calabar, Nigeria – In a time when Cross River State needs intellectual hands, His Youthfulness, Dan Obo Jnr, has called on Mr Austine Ibok to return home.

Obo Jnr., who is the Special Adviser to Governor Bassey Otu on Youth Mobilisation, disclosed this in a chat on Monday, saying that the current administration needs people like Ibok.

The former State NYCN Chairman said Ibok is far away from the state Apostle Otu is building, adding that the state needs him like he needs the state.

“Austine Ibok is a very good friend, and as a friend, I know his capacity, and in the time when His Excellency Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu is setting the stage for a greater height, we need people like him.

“Negativity at this point won’t help the state. I understand everyone has his opinion, and I respect that, but standing afar off to make your point won’t be as effective as when you’re closer. It’s just like a contractor giving instructions on site, he would have to be closer if her wants to get results.

“I’ve read through many social media posts and, recently, a rejoinder by Arc. Bassey Ndem, it is out of place to toe a path of destruction at this point. We all know that any state whose leader is distracted, ends up in shambles

“I wished to reference Arc. Ndem, who is older than us, ‘let us double our efforts to give advice to the government’, for tomorrow, it may be you sitting at the helm of affairs.

“At this point, we need people with ideas and innovation, and instead of wasting it to the wind for compliments, bring it to the table. Let’s move Cross River State forward,” Obo Jr. said.

The SA Youth Mobilisation said his call to Ibok is borne out of his personal relationship with him and not any other way around.

He also urged young people with great ideas to use his office and any other one to share for prosperity rather than bury it and later blame the government for whatever reasons.
