Sen. Sandy Onor has rejected the Wednesday 22nd November 2023 Appeal Court judgement affirming Sen. Bassey Otu as the governor of Cross River State.
In a statement on Wednesday, shortly after the judgement in Lagos, Onor said he’s seeking further legal action as the next step – which is the Supreme Court.
The statement signed by Joe Obi Bisong, Director General of Caterpillar Movement said they are confident of justice while urging supporters to stay calm.
“The Court of Appeal, sitting in Lagos over the governorship election petition, has just delivered her judgement on our petition.
“The judgement does not reflect the full conviction of our position on the processes leading to the election.
“We shall seek further legal opinion on the next possible steps.
“We urge all our teeming supporters to remain calm and go about their legitimate businesses.
“We are confident that justice shall surely be ultimately done,” the statement read.
