Media personality Shade Ladipo has shared her thoughts following singer Spyro’s comments about his former boss and music executive, Paul O, not understanding the talent and record label business.
In her response, Ladipo made it clear that only Don Jazzy, the renowned music producer and founder of Mavin Records, has proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he truly understands the intricacies of talent and record label management.
Ladipo went on to advise older music executives who he referred to as “Egbons,” to accept their losses with grace instead of feeling personally attacked when others share their experiences in the music industry. She added that sometimes, in the competitive entertainment world, one wins some and loses some.
She also encouraged Paul O to be proud of the investments that did yield returns, showing her belief in the value of his contributions despite the ongoing criticisms.
