Singer Spyro Claims He Never Earned Money While Signed to PaulO’s Record Label

Nigerian singer Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, professionally known as Spyro, has insisted that he never made money when he was signed onto the record label of music promoter Paul Okoye, popularly known as Paul O.

Recall that Spyro said in a recent interview that he was signed to a record label run by Paulo, who owned three Rolls-Royces, saying he worked for the label for two years without earning a dime.

According to him, if there was anything he needed to accomplish, he had to borrow money from Paulo. He also added that PaulO is a good man who is ignorant about the ins and outs of running a record label.

Paul O responded to the musician’s accusation by sharing a spreadsheet that detailed payments made on Spyro’s behalf when the singer was signed to his record label.

The music promoter also claimed to have spent N12 million on Spyro in total but never received any money back for his investment.

However, Spyro claimed that he did not lie, and the spreadsheet shared by Paul O further proves his point that he did not make a dime while he was still under contract.

Spyro also claimed that he never approved of any travel figures claimed by Paul O and also recalled that he was once thrown out of a hotel after a One Africa concert staged in Wembley, London because the room was booked for one day.
