Court orders blood transfusion for 2-year-old despite Jehovah’s Witnesses parents’ objection in Calabar

A family court in Calabar, Cross River State, the Calabar Magisterial District, has issued an order compelling the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) and Mr Oham Samuel Oke to administer a blood transfusion and other medical interventions necessary to preserve the life of Ruth Oham Samuel, a two-year-old girl currently in intensive care.
