Chelsea boss, Xabi Alonso, has hailed the club’s summer signing, Marco Palestra.
Alonso said the 21-year-old defender is very flexible and versatile in his game.
The former Real Madrid manager spoke after Chelsea defeated AC Milan 3-0 in a pre-season friendly on Saturday at GBK Stadium.
“He is having a great impact,” Alonso said of Palestra as quoted by Chelsea’s website.
“He has a hunger and desire to improve and give his best, and in every game he is getting better and better.
“He played in a different position today, but I knew from his time in Italy that he is very flexible and versatile in his game.”
Palestra joined the Premier League club from west London club from Atalanta earlier this summer.
