Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with France World Cup star, Manu Kone.
The AS Roma midfielder has been on the radar of several European clubs this summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old gave an impressive performance for Les Bleus during the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament.
Reports had claimed that Arsenal had also shown interest in Kone, while Chelsea had held talks with his representatives over a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, according to L’Equipe, Man United have ‘the upper hand’ in the race to sign Kone, with the report adding that the player would welcome a move to the Red Devils.
This is coming after former Chelsea star, Glen Johnson recently urged the Blues to sign Kone.
