Super Eagles striker Umar Sadiq continues to prove his worth at Valencia, playing a key role in their crucial 2-1 win over Real Valladolid at the Mestalla. With Valencia fighting to avoid relegation, Sadiq’s timely contributions are quickly becoming a beacon of hope for the club.
Just seven minutes into the match, Sadiq was involved in the opening goal, linking up with José Gayà setting up Diego López, who calmly slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
However, the game was far from straightforward. After a defensive blunder allowed Valladolid to equalize, Sadiq showed his resilience, responding with a fantastic individual effort in the 58th minute.
A quick turnover in midfield saw Sadiq latch onto a perfect pass from Barrenechea, and the striker made no mistake, timing his run to perfection before poking the ball past the goalkeeper to restore Valencia’s lead.
