Urgent appeal to identify family of Bekwarra accident victim

By Frank Ulom

BEKWARRA (CONVERSEER) – Residents of Bekwarra Local Government Area of Cross River State are seeking assistance from the public to identify and contact the family of a young woman who died on Thursday following a motorcycle accident.

The victim, identified through her National Identification Number (NIN) as Agbama Success Awam, was involved in a crash in Bekwarra and was immediately rushed to Owoche Clinic for emergency treatment. Medical personnel battled to save her life, but she was pronounced dead at 1:43 pm on 4 December 2025.

According to Genesis Takim Mbaying, the deceased did not have any personal belongings except her NIN slip. The address linked to her NIN records is Agborkim Karaboat, a community in Cross River State. Efforts to reach her listed phone number, 09034105593, have been unsuccessful so far, as the line remains unreachable.

Residents are now calling on anyone with useful information about her family members, relatives, or close contacts to come forward and help notify them of the incident.

The appeal has been widely shared on social media in the hope of tracing her next of kin promptly. Meanwhile, arrangements regarding the handling of her remains have been placed on hold pending identification and contact with her family.
