A 33-year-old United States woman, Jessica Woods, has been arrested for attempting to sell her 18-month-old baby for $500 in Florida.

CONVERSEER learned that Woods was arrested by the Palatka Police in Florida, after abandoning the baby to the person she wanted selling to, who declined buying her.

According to the Palatka Police Department, Woods loitered outside a local business with her 18-month-old daughter on 5 March 2024.

She reportedly continued to do so for a few days.

The Police said an anonymous employee of the business noticed Woods frequenting the area and asked her if she needed any help, but she declined the assistance.

Police detectives obtained a warrant for Woods’ arrest on charges of child abuse, child neglect, and abandonment of a child.

Officials apprehended Woods on 7 March 2024, and she was booked into the Putnam County Jail.
