Victor Ikpeba: Coach Chelle Has the Potential to Guide Super Eagles to AFCON Triumph

Former Super Eagles forward,  Victor Ikpeba has backed new coach Eric Chelle to lead the team to glory at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

 

The Super Eagles will be looking to win a fourth AFCON title in Morocco.

Nigeria will face the Carthage of Tunisia, the Cranes of Uganda and the Taifa Stars of Tanzania in the group stage at AFCON 2025.

Nigeria’s new coach, Chelle guided his country Mali to the quarter-final at the last edition of the AFCON in Cote d’Ivoire.

Ikpeba says he believes Chelle can bring out the best in the players.

 

“He’s a young coach and has a good knowledge of African football,” he told Super Sport.

“He will get the best out of the Super Eagles.“He will do a good job.”

 

The Super Eagles will face Tanzania in their opening fixture at the competition.
