Good news for lovers of football as an update coming from the Super Eagles camp has it that Victor Osimhen has been declared fit to face South Africa.
CONVERSEER reports that the Super Eagles of Nigeria will face the Bafana Bafana of South Africa on 7 February 2024 in a semifinal class at the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Ivory Coast.
However, the team left Abidjan for Bouaké on Monday by 10pm without the forward due to medical reasons.
Though, the management said if Osimhen is declared fit, he will join the rest of the team on Tuesday by 5pm.

In an update on its verified X (formerly Twitter) page on Tuesday, the Super Eagles management said:
“Victor Osimhen has been declared fit and available for selection in the semi-final clash against South Africa on Wednesday.”
Adding that, “He has joined the team in Bouaké and has trained with the squad today (Tuesday).”

CONVERSEER reports that Osimhen who has been one of the best Super Eagles players was earlier diagnosed with gut infection (digestive problem) and was receiving treatment prior to the team’s journey from Abidjan to Bouaké.
Osimhen on the other hand will want to win the AFCON to add to his Serie A title with Napoli and the CAF African Best Player and Serie A Player of the Year Awards.
