A viral video recently shared on social media raises new allegations regarding the deadly Benghazi terrorist attack, which led to the death of four Americans, including former U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, in 2012.
OutKick journalist David Hookstead reported on Saturday that the Benghazi attack has resurfaced on social media due to allegations regarding the involvement of Delta Force operators in the attack.
In a video shared last month on X, formerly Twitter, the hosts of the “Antihero Podcast” repeatedly suggested that “13 Hours,” a movie and book based on the Benghazi attack, might not be the full story of the deadly terrorist attack.
In the video, Brent Tucker, an “Antihero Podcast” host and a Delta Force veteran, claimed that the true story of the Benghazi attack might be different than what has been reported since the two Delta Force operators involved in the attack have not yet shared their side of the story.

Tucker claimed that one of the Delta Force operators has a “very, very, very different story than what got put out in books.” Tucker explained that the unidentified Delta Force operator has “expressed interest” in sharing his story but has to “wait for some things to transpire” due to political reasons to be able to “talk about it.”
In response to the viral video, John “Tig” Tiegen, a member of the security team responsible for repelling the terrorist attack in Benghazi, tweeted, “Actually our book is how it happened that night! We explain what we did, what we saw and what we heard. The Delta boys were not there from beginning to the end, they showed just before the last attack started and tossed Rone and Bub off the roof. That’s was the extent of their participation in that night.”
“For the ones that actually did the fighting would love to know what they were doing, especially while I was rendering aid to the guys blown up on the roof!” Tiegen added. “Let’s not forget the lies they told to Rone and Bubs family about getting them off the roof respectfully.. can’t wait to hear the excuses for that one! Maybe now you’ll get more comments thanks to guys that actually fought that night.”
In another tweet, Tiegen pushed back against claims that the truth about the recovery of the U.S. ambassador’s body had not been released.
In response to a message Hookstead sent regarding the new Benghazi allegations, Tiegen said, “I saw his body get recovered first hand and was at the airport when his body was brought to us by Gaddafi’s military. The only thing I saw the Delta force guys do was throw Ron’s body off the roof and get Dave off the roof. That was all they did. You guys wanna sit there and say we fabricated the book you can f-ck off.”
