Calabar, Nigeria – Ex-Bakassi Peninsula Detainee Princewill Chimezie Richards has issued a warning on those planning to hurt Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Richards, who is also the pioneer founder of the Biafra National League (BnL), disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, stating that he knew that Akpabio would not escape what he did to Senator Ali Ndume, adding, “Natasha is just a setup”.
Converseer reports that Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central District has dragged the Senate President to the United Nations’ International Parliamentary Union (IPU) over her six months suspension by the Senate last week. This follows her refusal to appear before the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, to substantiate her allegations against Akpabio.
There have been other protests and counterclaims around the country for and against Akpabio over the issue.
In the statement, Richards said his supporters are waiting for when they will hurt Akpabio, then they will strike from Bakassi Peninsula.
Insinuating about unseen hands fueling the attacks on Akpabio, the freedom fighter said, “It’s not all about wearing Babariga to every Senate session, that the South can never please the North.”
Speaking about Simon Ekpa, Richards, ex-militant leader, said he had chosen to remain silent since the arrest.
According to him, the killings in Imo State have not stopped, and the media will not report them again, so it will appear that peace has returned.
According to him, “Finland will never send Simon Ekpa to Nigeria”, adding “he is likely to be released by May.”
