Wike’s Aide Olayinka Provokes Atiku: ‘2027 Presidential Bid Will Mark Your 7th Failure’

Media aide to Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has warned former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, against running for the presidency in 2027 as he will again fail woefully.

Olayinka who gave Atiku the warning in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, said Atiku will be deceiving himself if he thinks he stands a chance of becoming president in 2027 after six previous attempts ended in failure.

Olayinka stated that 2027 would be Atiku’s seventh failed attempt if he contests the presidency and charged Atiku to stop lying to himself after six previous failed attempts at the presidency.

“Six unsuccessful attempts at the presidency, he won’t still stop lying despite his age. 2027 will definitely be his seventh failed attempt,” Olayinka wrote.

Olayinka’s comments came following Atiku’s remarks on Tuesday during an interview with journalist, Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie of Untold Stories, that he had no regret for not picking Wike as his running mate for the 2023 elections.

In the interview, Atiku had also mentioned that he is uncertain if he will be running for the presidency in 2027.

“I don’t know because there has to be, first of all, a viable platform, more than any other time in the political history of this country, particularly since the return of democracy,” Atiku had hinted.

But he, however, did not rule out the possibility of still running for the presidency in 2027, saying Nigeria needs a good leader.

“I have not seen Nigeria in dire need of, you know, an experienced and credible leadership than this time,” he said.

In an earlier post on Wednesday, Olanyinka had taunted Atiku over his uncertainty in running for the presidency again.

“Two years after making the PDP lose a presidential election it could have won, Atiku is giving reasons he did not pick Wike as his running mate and that he has no regrets.

“Someone should tell our serial presidential election contester that Wike also has no regret ensuring that he failed in the election and will make sure that he fails again and again.
DAZZOL,” he had posted.
