Woman Cautions Ikorodu Residents About New Scam After Narrowly Escaping Robbery in Keke Napep

Woman warns Ikorodu residents to be aware of new trick as she shares how she was almost robbed in Keke Napep

A woman has shared a new trick employed by robbers as she narrates how she escaped an attempted robbery in Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The woman explained that she managed to escape because she had already been made aware of the trick after other victims shared their experiences on TikTok.

She said that she entered a keke napep and two other men were already seated at the back of the tricycle when she got in.

She added that after a while, the driver asked her to close the tarpaulin cover at the entrance of the keke that is usually used to shield passengers when it’s raining. The driver also suggested that she move to the middle of the keke if she can’t close the tarpaulin so that the man in the middle would move to the entrance of the keke.

She added that because it was not raining, she suspected they did not have good intentions for wanting to close the keke and put her in the middle of two men, so she told them to stop, that she forgot something at home.

She claims that when she got down, the driver and the men in the keke insulted her.

She told other Ikorodu residents to be vigilant and aware of the new trick.

Watch her narrate her experience in the video below.
