Governor Otu of Cross River State has appointed Chief (Mrs) Angela Ogeyi Odey as the new Director-General (DG) of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
Odey’s appointment was contained in a press release signed by Mr Edem Darlington, Deputy Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Tuesday (August 1).
According to the release, Odey’s appointment takes effect immediately.
“His Excellency, Senator (Prince) Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State has approved the appointment of Chief (Mrs) Angela Ogeyi Odey as the Director General of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA).
“The appointment takes effect from August 1, 2023.
“The Governor charges the new appointee to bring her wealth of experience to bear in her new role and wishes her the best in service to the State”, the statement read.
