The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Florence Obi, has approved the appointments of 3 Heads of Department (HODs) in the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Those appointed are HOD of Social and Administrative Pharmacy, Prof. Maxwell Abide; HOD of Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Technology, Dr (Mrs) Akpabio Ekaette; and HOD of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Biotechnology, Pharm. Abuh Samuel.

In a letter signed by the VC, Prof. Florence Obi, the appointment is for a period of two years with effect from 28th June 2024 to 27th June 2026.

“The newly appointed Heads of Departments are expected to bring to bear their wealth of knowledge and experience even as they discharge their official duties diligently by effectively administering their Departments to ensure optimal productivity,” the letter read in part.
