Governor Bassey Otu has appointed Prof. Patrick Nyong Asuquo as the Acting Provost of the Cross River State College of Education (COE) Akamkpa.
Prof. Asuquo’s appointment was disclosed in a press release signed by Nsa Gill, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor on Monday, 29th July 2024.

“His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu has approved the appointment of Prof. Patrick Nyong Asuquo of the University of Calabar as the Acting Provost, Cross River State College of Education, Akamkpa.
“Prof. Asuquo is vested in Education where he earned his professorship and has numerous national and internationally reckoned publications to his credit.
“His appointment takes immediate effect,” the press statement read.
