The management of the University of Cross River State, UNICROSS (formerly Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH) has announced the postponement of the institution’s 22nd matriculation.
CONVERSEER learned from a circular, Circular No. 411, signed by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Augustine Angba, and Registrar and Secretary of Council, Victor Ene, that the 22nd matriculation was postponed from 25th to 26th of January 2024, to the 8th to 9th February 2024, across various campuses.
According to the circular dated Monday (22 Jan. 2024), the management regrets any inconveniences the postponement may cause.
The circular was addressed to all staff, students (year 1 in particular), the university community, and the general public.
“This is to Inform all staff, students (Year One, in particular), parents and the general public that the 22nd Matriculation Ceremony for the 2023/2024 Academic Session earlier scheduled by the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) and slated for Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26, 2024, has been postponed.

“The new date for the event has now been scheduled to be held as follows:
• Thursday, February 8, 2024;
UNICROSS, Calabar and Obubra Campuses
• Friday, February 9, 2024;
UNICROSS, Ogoja and Okuku Campuses
“The University Management sincerely regrets any inconveniences this postponement, which is due to unavoidable circumstances, may cause.
“Thank you for your cooperation,” the circular read.
