Guide to apply for UNICAL post UTME/Direct Entry (DE) screening for 2024/2025 academic session

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) invites applications from suitable JAMB UTME candidates for Post-UTME Screening Exercise for admission into the University for the 2025/2026 Academic Session. Interested candidates are to be guided by the following information.

1. ELIGIBILITY FOR APPLICATION

The following categories of JAMB UTME candidates are eligible to apply:

• a. Candidates who selected the University of Calabar as their first choice in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME and choose any of the programmes listed in 10 below and scored a minimum of 150.
• b. Interested candidates who did not choose University of Calabar as their first choice but wish to study in the University of Calabar and scored a minimum of 150 in the 2025/2026 JAMB UTME.
• Candidates in 1(b) above, must do a Change of Institution to the University of Calabar via JAMB website (www.jamb.org.ng) and choose any of the programmes listed in 10 below.

2. METHOD OF APPLICATION:

Candidates are to make a Non-refundable payment of Two Thousand Naira ₦2,000.00 only only through the following options available:

1. 1. E-transact option:
      This option is available in all commercial banks nationwide. At the bank your are required to pay and obtain an E-transact PIN. With the PIN log into the portal http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link then log in with your CONFIRMATION ORDER NUMBER and follow the instructions on the portal after login.

1. 1. Buy Post-UTME Pin Online option:
      This option gives access to purchase Post-UTME pin from the portal. Click Buy Post-UTME Pin Online to purchase the Post-UTME pin online. Login with the TRANSACTION ID as the PIN into the portal.

On obtaining the print out from the bank or online, proceed as follows:

• LOG ON TO http://www.myunical.edu.ng and click on the UTME Admission Screening link
• On the home page, enter your correct JAMB Registration Number in the box provided
• Enter the CONFIRMATION ORDER NUMBER or TRANSACTION ID in the box provided
• Click on login and follow the online instructions.
• Confirm your entries and CLICK ON SUBMIT
• Print out the completed form.

3. DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR THE ONLINE APPLICATION:

Candidates are required to upload the following documents:

• 1. Digital Passport-size photograph (in JPG format)

4. SPECIAL INSTRUCTION:

1. 1. Submit a valid email address and personal phone number in your Application.
   1. Note: University of Calabar will not be responsible for any unsuccessful applications as a result of invalid email address(es) and telephone number(s).
2. 2 University of Calabar in compliance to the ‘CCMAS’ does not accept O’Level result at TWO SITTING for Medicine and Surgery

5. COMMENCEMENT OF ONLINE APPLICATION:

The Online application will be open from Friday, July 18th, 2025 on our portal http://www.myunical.edu.ng

6. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION:

The deadline for submission of application is 4th of August 2025 (3 weeks)

7. DATE OF POST-UTME EXERCISE:

The date for the Post-UTME Screening Exercise would be made known upon completion of the application, on the PUTME Screening Schedule Printout.

8. ITEMS FOR SCREENING TEST:

• a. Candidates are to bring the following for the screening test:
  1. I. POST-UTME Screening Schedule Printout
  2. II. 2025/2026 JAMB UTME Result Slip
• b. DO NOT bring the following items into the screening test hall:
  1. 1. Mathematical tables
  2. 2. Calculators
  3. 3. Smart phones & Smart-watches
  4. 4. Bags of any kind

All the items in 8(b) above will be confiscated, if brought into the screening hall. The University of Calabar will not be held liable for loss or seizure of any item brought into the examination venue by candidates.

9. DISQUALIFICATION OF CANDIDATES WHO MAKE FALSE DECLARATION OF UTME SCORES, ORDINARY LEVEL RESULT GRADES (WAEC, NECO OR NABTEB) AS WELL AS STATE OF ORIGIN SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION
