Schools and communities across Obanliku Local Government Area of Cross River State have benefited from the 4th Intervention Programme of the Joseph Ogogo Foundation (JOF), as the Foundation deepens its commitment to grassroots education and sustainable community development.
The intervention, undertaken during the second and third weeks of the new academic session, focused on supporting schools while engaging communities on initiatives aimed at improving the wellbeing and development of local residents.
The programme forms part of JOF’s continuing intervention strategy, which recognises education as a critical foundation for individual advancement and community transformation.
By taking its intervention directly to schools shortly after resumption, the Foundation demonstrated its commitment to sustaining support beyond the opening days of the academic term and responding to the needs of pupils and their learning environments.
“When we invest in a child’s education, we are not simply supporting a pupil today; we are helping to shape the strength, dignity and possibilities of an entire community tomorrow,” the Foundation’s focal person said, underscoring its belief that sustainable development must begin with people and, particularly, the younger generation.
The 4th Intervention also featured community engagement and initiatives geared towards improving local surroundings and encouraging socio-economic growth, reinforcing JOF’s broader philosophy of development through collective responsibility.
