A Lagos-based pastor, Feyi Daniels, popularly known as Bishop Feyi, has been sentenced to life imprisonment by an Ikeja Court, for r@ping his church member.
Feyi was sentenced on Friday, 26 January 2024, by the presiding judge, Justice Rahman Oshodi.
Oshodi found Feyi, who is the founder of iReign Christian Ministry, guilty after several shreds of evidence were tendered against him.
Delivering judgment, Justice Oshodi, said he believed the testimony of the complainant as well as other witnesses who gave direct evidence which weren’t contradicted at any point during the trial, despite the denials of the defendant.
“The cleric used his dominant character and position to S3xually violate two members of his church.
“R@pe carries a mandatory life imprisonment and s3xual ass@ult carries a jail term of three years, which can’t alleviate the harm on your victims,” the judge ruled.
CONVERSEER learned that Feyi’s victim, a 23-year-old lady (name withheld) was his assistant.
