The United States of America has confirmed that 400-500 drones and missiles will be launched at Israel.
This was revealed by a senior U.S. official following the attack by Iran on Israel a few moments ago.
The United States predicts that about 85% of drones and missiles will be intercepted.
According to ABC News, the United States also appears to be ignoring Iran’s warnings and will be assisting Israel in intercepting everything that passes over U.S. ships.
The reports stated that up to 500 drones and missiles are expected to be launched from Iran, Iraq, Syria, Southern Lebanon and the Houthis, with the bulk coming from Iran.
The drones are the same kind used in Ukraine.
An Israeli military source told ABC News that Iran has targeted military sites only – civilian sites were not targeted.
The Israel Defense Forces also moved up its arrival estimate: The first drones will close in on Israel an hour earlier than expected, at 1 a.m. local time, 6 p.m. ET.

“Over 100 drones have been fired at Israel by Iran, in addition to more than 100 unmanned aerial vehicles launched from Iran,” the Israel Defense Forces (IDP) said in a press conference Saturday.
“Dozens of Israeli Air Force jets are also airborne and a joint operational plan was devised with U.S. Central Command, the IDF statement added.
Meanwhile, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps earlier said that it launched extensive missile and drone operations against targets in Israel, according to Tasnim, the Iranian news agency affiliated with the branch of Iran’s armed forces.
Six months after Hamas terrorists invaded Israel on 7th October 2023, the Israeli military continued its bombardment of the neighbouring Gaza Strip. About 1,200 people were killed in the initial terrorist attack, according to Israeli officials, while Israel’s bombing of Gaza has killed more than 33,000 people, according to the Hamas-run health ministry in Gaza.
