Stan Alieke, the lawyer representing Darlington Okoye popularly known as Speed Darlington has announced his split with the singer.

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Sunday night, the Abuja-based lawyer said his law firm has officially withdrawn from representing Speed Darlington.

However, Alieke who represented Speed Darlington in his protracted legal battle with Grammy Award-winning musician Burna Boy, was silent on why he parted ways with the singer.

He wrote: ‘‘I and my law firm (Law Capitol) have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo aka Speed Darlington/ AKPI & henceforth cease to act as his legal attorneys.”

This latest development comes days after Speed Darlington suggested in a post on social media that there may be an upcoming legal battle with Burna Boy over his detention by the police.

The musician in a post shared on his Instagram page said efforts are underway by his lawyer Mr. David Ihuoma to drag Burna Boy to court for alleged rights violation.
