The absence of a prosecution witness on Monday stalled the trial of 20 Petroleum Tanker Drivers (PTD) at the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja.

The former PTD National Chairman, Lucky Osesua, is charged alongside 19 others with five counts of attempted murder, breach of peace, and assault.

Other defendants are – Dayyabu Garga, Humble Obinna; Akinolu Olabisi, Godwin Nwaka, Tiamiu Sikiru, Abdulmimin Shaibu, and John Amajuoyi.

The rest are – Zaira Aregbo, Patrick Erhivwor, Stephen Ogheneruemu, Gift Ukponku, Sunday Ezeoch,a and seven others.

They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Justice Yusuf Halilu adjourned the matter till March 12 after the prosecution counsel, A. R. Tahir, told the court that the second prosecution witness was not in court due to flight delay.
