Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have rescued a kidnapped victim, Osazee Okungbowa.
Spokesperson of the command, CSP Moses Joel Yamu, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, February 9, 2025 said efforts are ongoing to track down the culprits.
According to the PPRO, the victim was abducted in his residence in Owanoba Community on Friday.
“On 08/02/2025 at about 1700hrs, operatives of Ologbo Division successfully rescued one Osazee Okungbowa from the grip of his abductors,” the statement read.
“The victim was on 07/02/2025 at about 2145hrs kidnapped in the presence of his family in his residence at power line area of Owanoba Community by armed men numbering five (5).
“He has been reunited with his family after receiving medical attention, while the command continues with the trail of the suspects.”
