UK-based medical geneticist reveals her conversation with expelled Unizik student and releases video from the girl showing the lecturer grabbing her first.
The video appears to show the lecturer grabbing the girl’s dress while she struggled to free herself from his grasp before she went on to physically attack him.
“The man is at fault,” a student at the scene is heard saying in the video.
“Is it because he’s a lecturer,” another added.
The girl, Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious, a 300-level student has now been expelled from Unizik after the initial video went viral.
Meanwhile, a medical geneticist based in the UK, Mkpouto Pius, has revealed her conversation with the girl.
She explained that the girl’s family believe their daughter’s side of the story and they are standing by her.
Chiamaka also has her parents’ permission to travel abroad for school after Mkpouto offered to help her move abroad to continue her education.
Meanwhile, a number of social media users who previously stood with the lecturer are now making a u-turn after seeing the video.
However, many others insist that irrespective of what the lecturer did, the student should not have retaliated.
