A medical doctor has expressed outrage after a pregnant woman who was about to deliver twins was denied consent by her husband to undergo cesarean section.
The doctor explained that the pregnancy was breech, meaning one or both babies are positioned bottom or feet first in the uterus instead of head-first.
The solution suggested by doctors was a C-section but the husband refused to give consent.
Narrating the incident on X, the doctor wrote: “A woman is in labour with twins, it’s breech. She is asking her husband for consent and he refuses.
“I’m angry that a full,grown adult woman is asking for consent to save her and her children’s lives and you say I’m pushing feminist agenda. You have the same IQ as manure.”
Another doctor narrated how he experienced a similar incident.
He wrote: “One asked me to wait till evening before we do CS while his wife was in labour.
“Bride price list should start including Sworn Affidavit from the man and his family going forward.”
