The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has relaxed the 24-hour curfew imposed on some communities in the state.

The governor on March 23 imposed curfew on Ifon and Ilobu/Erin-Osun Communities in Orolu and Irepodun Local Government Areas of the state over violence.

The Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the relaxation of the curfew in a statement on Friday in Osogbo.

He directed that the curfew would be from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.

“The relaxation of the curfew is to take effect from Friday, until further notice,” the statement read.

The governor said he took the decision to alleviate the suffering of residents of the three towns and provide an opportunity for them to attend to their immediate needs.
