Akwa Ibom Reps Member Empowers 2,500 Constituents With 13 Cars, 43 Bikes, 128 Gens, 1,558 Business Support, Others

Hon. Unyime Idem, Member Representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the National Assembly has empowered 2,500 constituents with 2,500 items with great value.

The empowerment, CONVERSEER reports took place on Wednesday at the Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Empowerment Centre, No. 3 Barracks Road, Besides Divisional Police Station, Ukanafun Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State.

Recall that during his campaign, Hon. Idem had pledged to empower 5,000 constituents, out of which 2,500 were trained and empowered in 2020 and 2021.

For the 2023 empowerment, the remaining 2,500 constituents were empowered to complete the 5,000 persons earmarked for the scheme.

A breakdown of the 2023 empowerment shows that the 2,500 constituents were empowered with 13 cars, 43 motorcycles, 4 industrial machines, 128 generators, 98 e-pads, 181 sewing machines/accessories, 118 standing dryers/accessories, and 126 clippers/generators/accessories for constituents.

Others: 31 persons got business grants, 50 persons got scholarships, another 50 got bursaries, 100 Persons Living With Disabilities got support, while 1,558 businesses were also supported.

The Ukanafun/Oruk Anam federal lawmaker, in the statement, invited the general public to the event, some of whom were represented.

Some of them are the executive governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, the Deputy Governor, Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and members, the State Chief Judge, National Assembly Members, Secretary to State Government, Members of the State Executive Council and Special Advisers, Honorary Special Advisers, Chairmen of Boards & Commissions, State PDP Chairman and Executives, Stakeholders, Chairmen of Transition Committee, CAN Chairman and Executives, Fathers of Faith.

Other invited are the traditional rulers, the business class, People Living With Disabilities, students and the entire people of the federal constituency.
