Gov Otu appoints two Security Advisers, one Special Assistant

The Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prince Bassey Otu has appointed two Security Advisers and a Special Assistant.

CONVERSEER learned from the press release signed by Dr Innocent Eteng, Permanent Secretary, GAO, on behalf of Prof. Anthony Owan-Enoh, Secretary to the State Government (SSG) on Friday (August 4), that the appointment is in the Office of the Senior State Security Adviser.

“The Governor of Cross River State, His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has approved the appointment of the following Security Advisers and Assistant in the Office of the Senior State Security Adviser:

I. Ibu Augustine Wonor – Special Adviser, Operations

II. Chief Ekeng Henshaw – Special Adviser, Intelligence

III. Mr Agbor Ubi – Special Assistant, Intelligence

“The Governor charges the new appointees to bring their wealth of experience to bear in their new roles and wishes them the best in their service to the State,” the statement read in part.

It added that: “The appointments take retrospective effect from August 1, 2023.”

Recall that the Governor has already submitted 26 names as Commissioner Nominees to the State House of Assembly, of which 24 have been confirmed.
