The Kogi State Vigilante Service has arrested a notorious armed robber and motorcycle snatcher, Abdulraheem Muhammed in Okene.
The Head of ICT/Media Unit, Office of the CG, Kogi State Vigilante Service, S.O. Saka, who disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, said the suspect specialised in snatching motorcycles at gunpoint.
“On January 26, 2025, at approximately 1715hrs, Abdulraheem Muhammed, a resident of Idoji in Okene Local Government Area, was apprehended by operative of the Kogi State Vigilante Service, Okene Command,” the statement read.
“The suspect is alleged to be a notorious armed robber and professional bike snatcher.
“During preliminary interrogation, Abdulraheem Muhammed confessed to being involved in several incidents of snatching motorcycles at gunpoint.
“The suspect has been handed over to the appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
“The Kogi State Vigilante Service commends the vigilance and swift action of its operatives in ensuring the safety of the community. We also urge residents to remain security-conscious and to report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities promptly.”
