Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, PhD, has extended a heartfelt congratulations to Sparkling FM Calabar on its 8th anniversary.
In a letter addressed to the General Manager of Sparkling Radio 92.3FM, Lemna City Estate, Ikot Effanga Mkpa, Calabar, on May 11, 2026, Ekpang said the station has distinguished itself as a pioneer in community and citizens’ broadcasting.
“On behalf of the Government of Cross River State, Management and Staff of the Ministry of Information, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Sparkling FM as you celebrate your 8th anniversary of Radio broadcasting in our dear State and beyond.
“Over these eight years, Sparkling FM has distinguished itself as a true pioneer in community and citizens’ broadcasting with people-oriented news and Programmes that kept listeners spellbound all day.
“Your commitment to amplifying local voices, fostering dialogue, and promoting inclusivity has not only enriched the media landscape but also strengthened the bonds within our communities.
“This milestone is a testament to your resilience, innovation, and dedication to service.
“As you mark this special occasion, I urge you all to continue to shine brightly, inspire positive change, and remain a beacon of excellence in broadcasting, South-South of Nigeria.
“Cross River State Government celebrates your achievements today and looks forward to many more years of impactful service to our people.
“Congratulations and Happy 8th Anniversary,” the letter read.
