January 6 convict pardoned by Trump sh0t by policeman

A man pardoned by former President Donald Trump for his role in the January 6 Capitol riot was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy after a heated altercation during a traffic stop in Jasper County, Indiana.

The incident, which occurred on January 26, was captured on bodycam footage. Matthew Huttle was pulled over for driving 70 MPH in a 55 MPH zone, according to law enforcement.

As the Jasper County Sheriff’s deputy approached, Huttle exited his SUV. The deputy informed him that he was a habitual traffic violator with a suspended license and was being placed under arrest.

Huttle, appearing distressed, shook his head and insisted he couldn’t go to jail. When the deputy reiterated that he was under arrest for committing a felony, Huttle suddenly bolted toward the driver’s seat of his SUV.

The deputy caught up to him, leading to a physical struggle inside the vehicle. During the altercation, Huttle threatened to shoot himself. The deputy then drew his weapon and fired several rounds, killing him at the scene.

Prosecutors reviewed the shooting and ruled that the deputy was legally justified in using deadly force. No charges were filed against the officer.

Before his death, Huttle had been sentenced to six months in jail in 2023 after pleading guilty to unlawfully entering the U.S. Capitol during the January 6 riots. However, he was later pardoned by Trump, receiving a significant legal reprieve.
