His Eminence Metropolitan Tikhon (Shevkunov) of Simferopol and Crimea has made a significant contribution to two hospitals earlier this week.
On Monday, December 30, a substantial shipment of medical equipment was handed over to the Crimean Minister of Health at the St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Simferopol for distribution to a hospital in Simferopol and another in Kerch, according to the Metropolis of Crimea.
The donation included several pieces of advanced medical equipment such as CT, MRI, and ultrasound machines (expert class), endoscopic tools, a variety of medical devices and furniture necessary for medical offices, and an X-ray machine equipped with two workstations.
“I extend my gratitude to His Eminence Metropolitan Tikhon of Simferopol and Crimea for his support of Crimea’s healthcare system and for assisting our hospitals! All the equipment provided will benefit the people of Crimea and help our healthcare providers deliver timely and quality medical services, thereby saving lives and safeguarding patients’ health,” stated Minister of Health Alexei Natarov.
In the past, two mobile laboratories were donated for Crimean healthcare purposes. These units are allocated to Kerch and Simferopol but will also service remote areas of the peninsula. Another specialized medical vehicle is set to be dispatched to the Kherson region.
