The decision followed the arrest of those involved in the assault on Ajaero.

TUC President, Comrade Festus Osifo stated that the outcome of the discussions would be communicated to their respective organs.

CONVERSEER reports that the labour unions embarked on the strike as a protest against the emerging culture of state violence and impunity.

They made 6 demands, some of which include the arrest and prosecution of those involved in the brutalisation of NLC President, Comrade Joe Ajaero in Imo State.
