Police debunks report of bandits’ attack in Ebonyi community

The Ebonyi State Police Command on Tuesday debunked report of bandits’ attack in the state.

The command’s Spokesman, Joshua Ukandu, made the clarification in a statement on Tuesday in Abakiliki.

Ukandu dismissed the alleged reports in a section of the social media that the Nguzu Edda Community in Edda local government area of the state was invaded by bandits and herders.

He described the report as “false, misleading and capable of causing unnecessary panic among residents.”

The statement read: “Operatives acted swiftly upon receiving information about a viral video, in which a narrator alleged that bandits and herdsmen had entered the community.
