Umar Sadiq’s stunning backheel goal against Osasuna has been named LaLiga’s Goal of the Month for March.
The Nigerian forward produced a spectacular finish with his back to goal, securing a 3-3 draw for Valencia at El Sadar.
With Valencia trailing 3-2 in the closing moments, Sergi Canos delivered a cross into the box, and Sadiq, with his back to goal, executed a brilliant backheel shot that left the Osasuna goalkeeper helpless.

This marks Sadiq’s first-ever LaLiga Goal of the Month award. His strike edged out two other top contenders in the final vote: Diego García’s overhead kick for CD Leganés against Getafe CF and Andrei Rațiu’s long-range effort for Rayo Vallecano against Sevilla.
Real Betis’ Romain Perraud claimed the award in February.
Since joining Los Che on loan from Real Sociedad in January, the 28-year-old has made an instant impact, scoring four goals in eight league appearances under Carlos Corberán.
