The All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives primary elections held across the various wards in Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency have been successfully concluded, with aspirants, stakeholders and party faithfuls applauding the smooth, peaceful, fair and credible conduct of the process.
The primary election featured three frontline aspirants namely the incumbent member representing Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency, Hon. Uduak Odudoh, Dr Idongesit Wilson Nta and Mr Udeme Idemudo.
At the end of voting across the wards in the Federal Constituency, Hon. Uduak Odudoh secured an overwhelming majority of votes from party members to emerge winner and candidate of the party for the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking with journalists shortly after the exercise in Ikot Abasi, Hon. Odudoh expressed profound appreciation to the leadership of the party for ensuring a transparent and credible process. He particularly commended His Excellency, Governor Umo Eno, for his leadership and commitment to unity, fairness and internal democracy within the party in the State.
Hon. Odudoh also thanked party members and delegates for finding him worthy to fly the party’s flag at the general elections, assuring constituents that he would continue to provide effective representation and facilitate more dividends of democracy to the Federal Constituency.
He further assured the party that Ikpe Nnung Asan Ward 1, Ikot Abasi Local Government Area and indeed the entirety of Ikot Abasi Federal Constituency would deliver massive support and victory for all candidates of the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
Also reacting to the successful conduct of the primaries in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area, the Honourable Commissioner for Works and Fire Service, Prof. Eno Ibanga, hailed the exercise as peaceful, fair and credible. He equally reaffirmed the total support and commitment of Ukpum Minya Ward 1 and the entire Mkpat Enin Local Government Area to the APC and its candidates ahead of the general elections.
In Eastern Obolo local government area, the Executive Chairman, Honourable Samuel Nteogwuijah expressed satisfaction at the conduct of the primaries and applauded party faithfuls for turning out en masse to elect their chosen candidate for the party
He also stressed that Eastern Obolo will vote all APC candidates in the forthcoming general elections and ensure they’re all returned elected, adding that the local government is totally committed to the dealings of the APC
The successful conduct of the primaries once again demonstrates the commitment of the APC to internal democracy, transparency and unity as the party continues to position itself for victory at the polls in 2027
