The Chairman of Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC), Muhuyi Magaji Rimingado, said on Monday the commission would go ahead with the planned prosecution of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, for alleged corruption.

The Kano State government in 2024 moved to arraign the former governor, his wife, Hafsat, and five others on an eight-count charge of bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds at the State High Court.

Other defendants are – Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, Jibrilla Muhammad, Lamash Properties Limited, Safari Textiles Limited, and Lasage General Enterprises Limited.

Hearing in the case will resume on February 13.

Rimingado, who spoke on Channels Television’s “The Morning Brief,” on Monday, promised to pursue the case despite significant challenges.

He said: “We are prosecuting him in person.”
