…as Apple iOS 18’s new AI feature will be launched in the fall, and it can also transcribe text summaries
Apple WWDC24 Developer Conference on Monday: iOS 18 officially announced the arrival of the “Apple Intelligence” feature. In a flashing introduction picture, the long-awaited call recording function appeared.
According to the introduction page of Apple Intelligence official website, the feature is described as ” Simply click ‘Record’ in the Notes or Phone app to capture recordings and transcripts. Apple Intelligence will generate a summary of the recording information so that users can understand the most important information at a glance.”
Phone call transcription is available in English (US, UK, Australia, Canada, India, Ireland, New Zealand, Singapore), Spanish (US, Mexico, Spain), French (France), German (Germany), Japanese (Japan), Mandarin (China mainland, Taiwan), Cantonese (China mainland, Hong Kong), and Portuguese (Brazil).
However, Apple Intelligence has hardware limitations. Currently, only the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max can use it. In addition, iPad and Mac devices equipped with Apple M series also support access to Apple Intelligence.
Apple’s official website shows that Apple Intelligence will launch a Beta version this fall.
