Lil Baby’s lawyers blast Atlanta Police Department for tying rapper to teen murd3rs

Lil Baby’s legal team is pushing back against the Atlanta Police Department (APD) after officers suggested the rapper was connected to a 2024 gang-related shooting that left two teenagers dead.

The rapper’s attorneys, Drew Findling and Marissa Goldberg, issued a statement to TMZ, calling APD’s accusations “complete and total nonsense.”

During a Wednesday press conference, APD officials announced the arrests of seven gang members allegedly responsible for the two fatal shootings and the wounding of a third victim.

APD Homicide Commander Ralph Woolfolk specifically mentioned Lil Baby, stating the rapper was filming a music video in the area where the violence occurred and suggesting that he “knew he should not have been” there. Woolfolk described it as a “cowardly act” and vowed to hold Baby accountable.

His lawyers quickly fired back, arguing that Lil Baby had nothing to do with the violence and had every right to shoot a music video in his hometown.

“To say that he couldn’t shoot a music video in his hometown, a place that he loves and has continued to uplift, is disgraceful,” the attorneys said. They also emphasized that the decision to select a filming location is made by a professional team, not the rapper himself.

The lawyers further criticized APD for its “unprofessional, unethical, and shameful” handling of the situation, maintaining that Baby had “absolutely no involvement” in the shooting.

According to his legal team, Lil Baby is devastated by the incident, as he and the victims grew up in the same Atlanta neighborhood where the violence took place.
