I won’t allow you all to bully me like you bullied my husband – Mohbad’s widow Wunmi declares as she hits back at Spending over his allegations

I won’t allow you all to bully me like you bullied my husband – Mohbad’s widow Wunmi declares as she hits back at Spending over his allegations

Cynthia Wunmi, the widow of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, has declared that she would no longer allow anyone to bully her; vowing to protect her son, Liam and late husband’s legacy.

Wunmi stated this in an Instagram post on Sunday while reacting to Spending’s allegations.

The mother of one has been at the centre of a heated dispute with Mohbad’s family and some colleagues since the singer’s death under ‘suspicious’ circumstances in September 2023.

The dispute further escalated after Mohbad’s father insisted on a DNA test to ascertain Liam’s paternity.

Spending, a close friend of Mohbad, had in a series of posts on Saturday night, March 1, accused Wunmi of trying to implicate innocent people in the death of the music star with false and inconsistent narratives.

Spending also claimed that Wunmi and Mohbad had a toxic relationship.

He further claimed that Wunmi had once threatened to end Mohbad’s career during a heated argument.

However, responding to the allegations, Wunmi accused Spending of peddling lies against her, claiming that he was being coached by others to make false allegations.

She also claimed that Spending had received money from a TikTok platform to make the allegations against her.

While admitting to having had an argument with her late husband, she said it wasn’t for the reason Spending claimed in his post.

According to her, she argued with Mohbad because she was upset with him for fighting during a show.

“You know my husband and I had a beautiful relationship. Spending, you know! Your reason for peddling lies is what is beyond my comprehension,” she wrote.

“No one would bully me again! Not in this life. Not even in the next one. If you come 10 times, I Omowunmi will come 25 times. The reason for my silence all this while was because I was gathering courage.”

She expressed her determination to protect her son, warning everyone involved to stop tarnishing her late husband’s legacy.

“From the moment my husband died, a lot of you people have been against me. They started from DNA and I ‘ve been ready since 2023.”

“I must live. My baby Liam too must live. If it’s the last thing I do, I will protect my baby till my last breath. You all will not bully me like you bullied my husband.”

“I will not allow it. Enough is enough. This confidence that I ‘ve gathered, it hasn’t been an easy one and none of you will take it away from me again.”

“And from now on, every single one of you, everybody, I mean every bloody person, should stop desecrating my husband’s legacy. He was a good man, a very good man, and he has a son who will grow up to read all the terrible things you have said about him.”
