Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max Comes With 48MP Telephoto Lens

By Paschal Abu

Analyst Jeff Pu recently released a report stating that Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max will be equipped with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens.

Jeff Pu, who is responsible for tracking Apple’s supply chain, released a market research report this week in cooperation with Haitong International Securities.

He believes that Apple has improved the iPhone’s ability to shoot spatial videos by upgrading the iPhone’s telephoto lens to 48 million pixels for the Vision Pro headset.

Apple’s latest flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max is equipped with 4 cameras: a 48-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide angle, a 12-megapixel 2x telephoto, and a 12-megapixel 5x telephoto.

Since Apple released the iOS 17.2 update, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models have supported shooting 3D spatial videos. According to early media feedback, the playback experience on Vision Pro is very good.

Jeff Pu released a research report earlier this year, believing that Apple will upgrade the ultra-wide-angle lens from 12 million pixels to 48 million pixels on the iPhone 16 Pro Max. The latest view is that the top model of the 2025 iPhone will upgrade the telephoto lens from 12 million pixels to 48 million pixels. 12 million pixels upgraded to 48 million pixels.

According to IT Home, the total number of certifiable revelations by Jeff Pu was 17, and the total number of correct ones was 13, with an accuracy rate of 76%.

However, there are still nearly two years until Apple releases the iPhone 17 Pro Max. This time span is too long, and the current information may not be accurate.
