The National Universities Commission (NUC) has recently accredited three additional programmes for Arthur Jarvis University, in Akpabuyo Local Government Area of Cross River State.

This is contained in a letter addressed to the Proprietor of Arthur Jarvis University with the title “Results of the October/November 2023 Accreditation of Academic Programmes in Nigerian Universities” signed by the Director of Accreditation Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission.

The NUC stated in the letter that the three programmes inspected in October/November last year at Arthur Jarvis University received full accreditation.

The three courses given full accreditation are Medical Laboratory Science, Human Anatomy and Mass Communication.

According to the letter from the NUC, “The full accreditation status conferred on the three courses is valid for five years.”

Reacting to the development, the Proprietor of the Arthur Jarvis University Sir Arthur Jarvis Archibong KSJI expressed delight over the feat.

“We are delighted to have obtained full accreditation for the three programmes tendered for evaluation, which serves as evidence of the commitment and effort put forth by our staff and students.

“This achievement demonstrates our vision, to be a reputable institution producing high-quality graduates for outstanding impact on global socio-economic development,” Archibong concluded.

Also Commenting on the development, the Director of Academic Planning of Arthur Jarvis University, Dr Oliver Okon, attributed the success of the University to the spirit of hard work, commitment and sacrifice of the members of staff of the University community, especially the standing accreditation committee which worked round the clock to always ensure that the institution had a good outing in all her NUC resources inspection and accreditation exercises.
