Here is a list of countries with the highest number of public holidays according to World Atlas.1: Cambodia – 28 public holidays2: Sri Lanka – 25 public holidays3: India, Kazakhstan – 21 public holidays4: Colombia, Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago – 18 public holidays5: China, Hong Kong – 17 public holidays6: Thailand, Turkey, Pakistan – 16 public holidays7: Japan, Malaysia, Argentina, Lithuania, Sweden – 15 public holidays8: Indonesia, Chile, Slovakia – 14 public holidays9: South Korea, Austria, Belgium, Norway, Taiwan, Nepal – 13 public holidays10: Finland, Russia – 12 public holidays11: Singapore, Italy, Denmark, France, UAE, Morocco, Czech Republic, Luxembourg 11 public holidays.

Morocco made the cut tied with several other countries in the 11th spot.In other words, Nigeria is still “learning” when it comes to public holidays.I don’t think Nigeria is more developed/advanced than any of the above-listed countries notwithstanding how much they love public holidays. I hope those who were on about the extra day added to the Eid holiday by the Nigerian government read and learn.
