According to a list recently announced by the United States Trademark and Patent Office, USPTO, Apple has obtained a patent for the Magic Mouse, which allows users to achieve cursor operations while tilting or completely leaving the desktop.
The new patent is simply called “Input Device” and Apple envisions a series of bizarre mouse solutions, including adding a tilt sensor and more.
Part of Apple’s patent read: “The user can tilt the input device to allow the computing device to perform the required function. The input device can be tilted in different directions or to different degrees, and the device can detect the tilting action or position of the mouse and adjust the tilt action or position of the mouse by the user. Customise related operations”.
Therefore, in addition to moving the mouse forward, backward, left, and right in the plane, it can also tilt in different directions to achieve three-dimensional interaction.

Apple said in the patent that in addition to tilting and tilting, these input devices can also be lifted from the support surface, and the relevant actions can be defined by the user.
