Trump Threatens To ‘Decimate’ Iran Over Assassination Threats

United States President Donald Trump has warned that 1,000 missiles are “locked and loaded” and aimed at Iran, threatening to destroy the country entirely should Tehran act on threats against his life.

Trump made the warning in a post on his Truth Social platform, referencing threats to assassinate him that he said had been “pronounced in many corners of the globe.”

“Orders have already been given, and the U.S. Military is ready, willing, and able, for a one year period of time, subject to extension, to completely decimate and destroy all areas of Iran,” Trump wrote.

He said thousands more missiles would follow the initial 1,000 should Iran act on the threats.
The warning follows weeks of heightened tension between Washington and Tehran, after a ceasefire agreed last month came under renewed strain.

Posters and graffiti calling for Trump to be killed appeared at funeral ceremonies held in Iran last week for former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israeli airstrikes on February 28.

Qatari negotiators were in Iran on Friday meeting Iranian officials in an effort to de-escalate tensions, a source with knowledge of the situation told Reuters, adding that the talks were being coordinated with the United States.
